Possum’s sound evil right! But they and our native birds were here long before us and deserve to be here with us. You do not want them in your roof though. This is where nest boxes come in. But the best thing you can do is PLANT INDIGENOUS VEGETATION. I cannot stress that last point enough, there is a huge range of these plants that you can find. Further, a lot of them are similar to exotic plants you may like without the environmental affect with the added benefit of being way easier to maintain. If you can, invest in thick indigenous shrubs, because our threatened small birds rely on these for food and habitat. Remember everything helps so please consider at least one plant for wildlife in your garden!
